Japanese designers are famous for their talent to
mix functionality and cool design because rationality is in their
philosophy and lifestyle. Japanese design brand Muji designed this narrow
three-storey house in Tokyo. Like its products, the house is about the
concept of simplicity, maximizing the available space and its functions.
The challenge was that the lot is extremely narrow for a house but the
designers managed to use every single inch in a smart way. White color
and light natural wood make the space look bigger, and lightweight stairs
don’t make it look heavy. The storage was made completely hidden not to
clutter the space and to make the interior look stylish.
