This is a renovation project of a duplex unit in
an 85-year-old housing in Amsterdam for a family of four. The owners
wanted to maximize the sunlight and to get a space where they can feel
each other. The interior was made stylishly modern, light and kind of minimalist
– no unnecessary things or cluttering up the space. The color scheme is
kept very light, with just a few bright accents. The designers took
away the stairs, walls and a part of the upper floor’s slab, so that the
sunlight can spread into all over the house. The kitchen, bathroom and toilets are packed into the tower, utilizing existing pipe box. Stylish, smart designed and cool!
