Intriguing Torch-Shaped LASSO Lamp

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Designed by Quentin de Coster Design Studio, LASSO lamp
 pays tribute to minimalism and functionality. As its name suggests, 
this unconventional lighting unit resembles a lasso, but also a 
suspended torch as the author wanted to create the most minimal shape 
possible. LASSO is a suspension made of a steel tube and wire offering a
 new way of guiding light. Usually unattractive, the electrical cable is
 here used to direct the lighting by a sliding motion turning it into a 
nice graphic element. On top of it, the LASSO lamp adopts different triangulations according to your requirements and draws beautiful lines in space. </div>

Shape Up Lighting Bringing Dynamic Spatial Harmony

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Shape Up Lighting by Ladies & Gentlemen Studio is a celebration of geometric shapes, and materials. The abstracted lampshade forms, some made of hand-blown glass by glass designer John Hogan, are networked via connecting cords and hubs. Versatile, the pendant lighting
 has four primary shade shapes: metal cone, glass sphere, cylinder, and 
arc. When combined with L&G’s adjustable height option, the lamps 
can be adjusted in height at any time via the solid brass counterweight 
and pulley hardware. The resulting modular system allows the shapes to 
be suspended and composed indefinitely in response to a space’s 
architecture and function. These playful collages change traditional 
notions of symmetry in favor of a dynamic spatial harmony. </div>

Unique Lanterns: Nomadic Lamps From Leather And Concrete

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Designed by Katharina Eisenkoeck, the ‘Nomadic’ lamps
 are inspired by early 20th century travel items such as leather flasks,
 suitcases and armory. These lamps are modern lanterns that can be 
carried around and used in a variety of different positions. The lamps’ 
angled leather handles are made using ‘Cuir Bouilli’ – an ancient method
 of boiling and shaping leather, and it develops its own unique 
character, becoming more personal to the user. Made from cast concrete, 
the three lamps
 are cordless and can be recharged via an induction charging system 
built in to an accompanying shelf. The charging system and the light 
source were developed in collaboration with the Austrian LED research 
company Lumitech. The light itself can simply be switched on and off 
through a touch sensor. Genius! </div>

Minimalist Yet Sculptural TOTEM Table Lamp

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Alexandre Dubreuil Design Studio has created a 
stand alone light named TOTEM. And it really reminds of a totem, a 
sacred object, or symbol for a whole group of people. Towards a quest of
 fundamental, the design strictly focuses on the way volumes and 
materials are associated. The lamp
 is made of plastic and concrete and uses the material richness to 
overtake the function. Though it’s rather simple and almost minimalist, 
it appears as an abstract sculpture thanks to the outrageous design. The
 peripheral lighting serves the function and the object itself. Such a lamp can become a great addition to any modern or minimalist interior. </div>

New Look At Antique Elegance: Wersailles Chandelier

<div style="text-align: justify;">
A new way of looking at chandeliers,
 the Wersailles by Beau&Bien edits out many of the standard parts of
 chandeliers – replacing them with a suspension system that is barely 
there. The aesthetic of the Wersailles collection is elegantly ethereal:
 it’s comprised of 21 or 4 candle holders – the W21 and the W4 – however
 the chandelier
 can be custom built from 4 up. Reminiscent of French castles, the 
Wersailles casts a poetically soft and diffused light. Available as a 
candleholder – or candleholder with a bird – in an unlimited quantity 
for a totally customizable look. It’s a new approach to the stunning 
antique elegance renovated, a modern look at the old things. </div>

Minimalist Oil Lamp Renovation In Black Chrome

Sometime in your life you’ve probably seen an oil 
lamp but today I think no one or almost no one uses them. They are 
usually very good-looking with shiny brass details and wavy, 
ruffled-looking glass. Castor Design has revamped the oil <a href="http://www.shelterness.com/diy-bright-cozy-crocheted-lamp/">lamp</a>
 for modern times by stripping away all unnecessary adornment and 
leaving a simple cylindrical shape that has a black chrome finish. Oil <a href="http://www.shelterness.com/diy-ikea-photo-pendant-lamp-hack/">lamps</a>
 normally last way longer than today’s plug-in variety due to not having
 wiring. The oil lamp also outlasts candles, which burn down destroying 
the original design. So, try this cool retro-inspired yet very modern 
and minimalist design and amazing durability! </div>

Unique Industrial Bi-Color Washi Lamps By Nendo

<div style="text-align: justify;">
What is washi? It is a type of old-school paper 
made in Japan: plant pulp and water are mixed and collected on screens, 
and after drying, fresh sheets of the stuff are pulled off. Though 
tissue-like in appearance, washi is reasonably tough, making its long 
production time worth the wait. Nendo chose this material as the base 
for their new Bi-Color Washi <a href="http://www.digsdigs.com/minimalist-oil-lamp-renovation-in-black-chrome/">lamps</a>.
 Why Bi-Color? The peculiar feature is that they color the lampshades 
only outside and leave them white inside. This is a perfect example of 
what good industrial design can accomplish: creating a unique, <a href="http://www.digsdigs.com/timeless-and-chic-flowerpot-vp4-table-lamp/">beautiful product</a> by experimenting with materials and exploiting a company’s competitive manufacturing advantage. </div>
