Designed by Australia architect CLARE COUSINS for her own family, and located in Prahran, Australia, the original house was renovated and extended with three sets of 3 story flats surrounding the garden to add privacy. The curved shapes are repeated in internal walls, surfaces and furniture to engage the garden and the interior space. The overall modern interior space has been planned to maximize storage and functionality to suit family life. The color scheme is neutral with several dusty color accents. Modern Home With Stone Walls And Wooden Beams

<div style="text-align: justify;"> Dom Arquitectura have completed the <a href="http://www.digsdigs.com/mid-century-modern-renovation-of-a-tiny-new-york-apartment/">renovation</a> of a historic home in La Cerdanya, Spain. The ensemble consists of a haystack, a barn, a warehouse, a small house and badiu, and the owner wanted to rehabilitate the space set and make his home and several guest pavilions. The architects kept the volumes of the existing buildings, rehabilitating their facades and roofs and redistributing all interior spaces. Inside the house several rooms and guests living areas area faced keeping stone walls, wood coating, using iron elements and combining wood flooring with hydraulic <a href="http://www.digsdigs.com/smink-tiles-made-using-wabi-sabi-principles/">tiles</a>. The idea was to create large spaces, in a rural environment, where the surroundings privileged views become part of the interior, and the authors managed to do it. </div> <div style="text-align: Impressive Stirling House Clad With Weathered Wood

<div style="text-align: justify;"> MAC Interactive Architects specified weathered timber boards for the exterior of this narrow Sydney residence, Stirling House. The three-storey building features an asymmetric profile that is at its highest on the building’s south-west corner. Inside, the ground floor is split into two halves – the front is a secluded living room overlooking the street, while the rear space <a href="http://www.digsdigs.com/inviting-italian-chalet-completely-from-wood-and-stone/">houses</a> a combined <a href="http://www.digsdigs.com/vivacious-modern-white-kitchen-with-chalkboard-details/">kitchen</a> and dining space that can be opened out to the garden. Two equally sized bedrooms with accompanying en-suites occupy the second floor, alongside a double-height study squeezed into a narrow space.
