Large Eat-In Kitchen With Classic French Range And Industrial Accents

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Interior designer Summer Thornton took a masculine
 approach to the remodel of an early 1900s French Tudor in Evergreen 
Park, Illinois. The house was overhauled for a single man—one who likes 
to entertain—and the plan allows for ample growth and plenty of guests. 
With its classic French range and industrial accents, the grand-scale 
kitchen is a healthy mix of modern warmth and ruggedness. A long 
marble-topped island runs down the center of the eat-in <a href="http://www.digsdigs.com/stunning-black-kitchen-design-with-yellow-touches/">kitchen</a> ending with a circular dining table. Large baskets tucked below the island add an extra layer of storage in the <a href="http://www.digsdigs.com/race-car-style-inox-kitchens-for-tight-spaces/">kitchen</a>.
 Thornton’s firm designed and built all the cabinetry, including the 
columns of rustic open shelves on either side of the range. </div>

Eclectic Kitchen Design With A Timeless Sense

This exotic-looking <a href="http://www.digsdigs.com/large-eat-in-kitchen-with-classic-french-range-and-industrial-accents/">kitchen</a>
 is located in a Spanish Colonial house in Los Feliz, which belongs to 
designer Ramin Shamshiri. The design was inspired by the travels to the 
Yucatan, the Netherlands, and Granada, the designer pulled together 
various eclectic references to create a sense of timelessness. A field 
of antique white, rectangle floor tiles adds a sense of lightness to the
 dark and moody color palette. The custom kitchen <a href="http://www.shelterness.com/9-diy-cabinet-revamps-that-youll-like/">cabinets</a>
 feature doors and drawers inset into the frame—a detail seen in prewar 
cabinetry. The kitchen island has a dark walnut butcher block; in the 
glazed upper cabinets, the arch-shaped cutout references the Spanish 
Colonial influences of the rest of the house. I love the unique décor,
